ANSTO offers professional teaching resources on nuclear science

Teaching and learning resources developed by ANSTO help make nuclear science and technology accessible to students (see menu on the right of the page) .

A team of professional education officers at ANSTO works with schools and teachers groups across Australia to support science teachers.

The education team provide resources to help present nuclear science as part of the junior science syllabus and for senior-level physics and chemistry. Professional development days for teachers are held on site each year, an opportunity for teachers to directly engage with scientists and the technology.

Many other publications and multimedia files about science and nuclear issues are available for download and free use by schools.

ANSTO resources for teachers and schools are

  • free, and may be copied
  • based on syllabus outcomes
  • available for year 11 and 12 Chemistry and Physics and Yr 10 science. Class sets are available.
