Benefits for all

People who work at ANSTO are proud of their "good neighbour" reputation. There's a sense of belonging, with shared interests and goals, through many networks.

ANSTO employs many people from the neighbouring region and injects millions of dollars into the regional economy each year. These links further reinforce the strong sense of connectedness with our stakeholders.

ANSTO provides many opportunities for education, business and professional associations, community groups, social networks and service clubs. Through cooperation, transparency and interaction, we aim to provide direct benefits to our stakeholders.

The environment in the Shire of Sutherland, in NSW, is one of the most closely monitored in the nation. ANSTO is constantly probing, testing, measuring research and reporting conditions in the air, the sea and soil. Our scientists use their own 'backyard' to investigate climate change, pollution control and protection technologies.

The goal at ANSTO is to make "nuclear-based science benefit all Australians".  If there's more that you think we could be doing to make ANSTO a better community member, please send your ideas to enquiries@ansto.gov.au
