Meredith, Karina
| Name: Dr Karina Meredith |
Karina is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the Isotopes for Water Project which is part of the Institute for Environmental Research. She is a Hydrogeochemist with approximately six years of experience in the fields of hydrogeochemistry, isotope research, soil science and environmental consulting. Her main strengths lie in hydrogeochemical interpretation, modelling and using isotopes within natural and contaminated groundwater systems. Projects she is currently working on at ANSTO include the solute/isotopic mass balances of the Darling River system and how climate change is influencing dryland rivers within Australia, carbon-14 correction dating within the Sydney Basin, hydrological balances using stable isotopes within the Sydney Basin and identifying the isotopic signatures and the extent of surface/groundwater interaction of monsoonal influenced surface water systems in northern Queensland
Expertise: Hydrogeochemistry, Hydrogeology, Radiogenic isotopes, stable isotopes, Radiocarbon isotopes, salinity research, groundwater/surface water interaction, hydrogeochemical modelling
