Role at ANSTO:
Dr Ionescu has a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Physics of Materials, and a PhD in Materials/Physics. He is a senior research scientist with the Ion Beam Accelerator Science Group. He has 10 years experience in superconducting materials, thin film deposition techniques and characterisation of thin films. He has over 70 publications in refereed journals, over 60 conference publications, 3 book chapters and 3 patents. He is Honorary Fellow of the School of Engineering Physics, University of Wollongong. He joined ANSTO in 2004.
