Apprenticeships

ANSTO apprentices have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills while rotating through workshops, drafting, maintenance, planning and quality control areas.

There are currently 11 apprentice positions at ANSTO and new positions are advertised in September of each year. There are various roles available including

  • Electrical Fitters,
  • Fitter/Machinists and
  • Sheetmetal/Fabricators.

Apprentices are required to attend a Recognised Training Organisation eg. TAFE for one day per week as required.

All protective clothing and tools are supplied by ANSTO and are provided to each apprentice.

Salary is based on age
