Dr Ross Piltz has a PhD (Physics) from the University of Melbourne. Since joining ANSTO in 1996, he has been responsible for the 2TAN neutron scattering instruments and is the leader of the project on Image plate as neutron detectors. He is experienced in synchrotron and neutron diffraction and has written/co-authored over 25 publications in this area.
