Program Information for courses
The University of Sydney
The Institute of Nuclear Science (INS) was formally established in the School of Physics, University of Sydney, in December 2007. It acts as an umbrella organisation for all research and teaching activities within the School that are related to nuclear science.
Since 2008, the Institute of Nuclear Science within the School of Physics offers two postgraduate coursework awards in the area of Applied Nuclear Science. Students may undertake coursework towards the Master of Applied Nuclear Science (MAppNucSci) or a Graduate Diploma in Applied Nuclear Science (GradDipAppNucSci).
Entry is only in Semester 1, mid-year entry is currently not available.

The University of Sydney
The Institute of Medical Physics offers through coursework a Master of Medical Physics degree (M.Med.Phys.) or a Graduate Diploma in Medical Physics (Grad.Dip.Med.Phys.).Units of study include Radiation Physics, Radiation Dosimetry, Radiotherapy Physics, Medical Imaging Physics, Radiation Biology and Health Physics.

The Master of Nuclear Science degree is a coursework graduate program that provides a pathway for graduates to acquire skills and renew or extend understanding of the current issues in nuclear science and technology.The program is intended to inform the policy debate, rather than to advocate a particular position.

Bachelor of Medical and Radiation Physics
The Bachelor of Medical and Radiation Physics is a four year degree designed to produce physics graduates with a broad background in physics and specialist skills in Medical Radiation Physics. The degree involves our students in major project work co-supervised by staff from ANSTO and major Sydney and Illawarra hospitals. An Advanced program is also available.
