AINSE 50th Anniversary
On 11 December AINSE celebrated its 50th anniversary. Established as a cooperative research institute, AINSE has funded a rich diversity of science through competitive awards which facilitate access to the ANSTO network of scientists and instruments.
The occasion was marked by the publication of a history of AINSE's first 50 years which was launched by the NSW Chief Scientist and Scientific Engineer, Professor Mary O'Kane on 11 December at a gathering of past and present associates of AINSE.
Postgraduate Research Award holders, Research Award holders, and Research Fellowship holders made presentations at an Anniversary Seminar held on 12 December.
